Subaru of Portland, a dealership in the O'Brien Auto Group, is currently looking for a full-time Entry Level Body Shop Estimator.

Subaru of Portland is servicing and selling a lot of vehicles and have a need to expand our staff. We are seeking a candidate who is friendly, articulate, enthusiastic and a self-motivated team player who demonstrates outstanding communication skills, maintains a positive attitude and provides an excellent work ethic in all responsibilities.
As an Entry Level Body Shop Estimator, your primary focus will be on:
- Answering the telephones in the Body Shop scheduling collision repair estimates, answering general body shop related questions, taking messages and working with insurance companies.
- Working with customers and insurance companies on payments due and keeping the body shop receivables schedule clean.
- Perform all work as designated on repair orders.
- Disassemble, repair and reassemble each vehicle.
- Repair collision damaged vehicles according to OEM specifications and company standards.
- Inform estimator if additional work is needed.
- Stay up to date with required I-Car and Company Safety Training.
- File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Mix polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas.
- Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools.
- Attend all training sessions and meetings.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Work in a cooperative, positive & professional manner with all personnel in the company.
- Treat members of the public and customers in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. Maintain a professional demeanor while at work.
- Must conform to company policy regarding non-discrimination and harassment.
- Miscellaneous office duties.
Requirements:
- Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in a certified Body Repair Shop.
- Own personal tools.
- I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus.

**Full-Time 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday**
This position pays $19 per hour.

Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: phone, switchboard, computer, adding machine, copier, calculator, stapler, fax machine, postage machine, pencils/pens, letter opener, scissors, and rulers.
Physical Demands: Frequent twisting and/or turning of trunk, reaching, and handling of objects, intermittent standing, walking and sitting, infrequent stooping, knelling, crouching, and lifting of 10lbs or less.
Candidates for this position must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background screening and motor vehicle record review.
