Position Overview
As a Dental Assistant at Obour Dental, you will play a key role in both clinical care and the overall patient experience. This is a fast-paced position where organization, anticipation, and teamwork are essential.
You’ll assist in a wide range of procedures while helping maintain a smooth, efficient flow throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down operatories with proper sterilization and infection control protocols
- Assist chairside during procedures (restorative, crown & bridge, endo, limited oral surgery, etc.)
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and assist with imaging
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes in the system
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Educate patients on procedures and post-op instructions
- Manage instruments, materials, and operatory efficiency
- Support front desk as needed (scheduling, patient flow, basic administrative tasks)
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Dental assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- X-ray certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
