What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assitant General Manager position at OBON Sushi Bar and Ramen?
The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. The Assistant Manager reports to the General Manager.
1. Assist in supervising staff and operations during service to ensure quality guest experience.
2. Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
2. Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared / plated and served in a timely matter.
3. Affirm guest satisfaction by touching tables and inquiring about their dining experience.
4. Open and close the restaurant by overseeing and assisting in the set-up and break down of the restaurant.
5. Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
7. Keeps General Manager and Regional Manager promptly and fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary & suggests alternative courses of action.
8. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
9. Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
10. Place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of supplies.
11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
