The Immaculate Heart of Mary Residence is seeking candidates for the following employment opportunities:

Position Title: KITCHEN UTILITY WORKER

Position Status: On-Site, Non-Exempt- Part-time, Tewksbury, MA

Summary of Description

Ensures a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and

tableware, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining sanitation standards. They

are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, sorting, and storing kitchenware, as well as

cleaning the kitchen area, restocking, and assisting Fathers/Brothers during Breakfast.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Start up and run dishwasher throughout shift, washing all dishes, pots, pans, and tableware, returning items to proper storage places.
• Assist Fathers/Brothers during Breakfast hours as needed.
• Clean, sanitize and reset breakfast tables throughout the breakfast hours.
• Set up breakfast (and if needed lunch) trays for medical wing residents and deliver Medical Wing Food Cart. Reset after use.
• Maintain sugar free desserts as directed by Cook.
• Restock breakfast items, breakfast room refrigerator as needed.
• Clean and sanitize all counters and appliances.
• Clean and sanitize Medical Wing Food Cart.
• Clean and sanitize dish room, shut down dishwasher.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Six months to 1-year food service experience, preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of use, cleaning, and maintenance of dishwasher equipment.
• Proficient knowledge of safety procedures for food service equipment and kitchen cleaning chemicals, required.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions required.
• Able to work in and maintain a cooperative working environment, required.
• Able to understand, speak and write in English, required.
• Able to stand, bend and walk without restriction for extended periods of time, required.
• Able to lift and carry 25 lbs., required.

Work Hours

Weekday/Weekend Hours - AM Shift; 6:00am-2:00pm; PM Shift 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Salary : $17 - $20
