Control Systems Engineering Manager - MurCal

We seek a highly skilled Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers designing and building control systems, panels, and rugged display configurations using CANBUS protocols and partner technologies.

This leader must be confident, proactive, and articulate, driving internal delivery while supporting business growth through client-facing engagements.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team (10 )
• Overseeing the design, development, testing, and delivery of control systems, panels, custom wire harnesses, CANBUS-based solutions, rugged touch-screen interfaces, and display configurations
• Directing projects with urgency to meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Acting as a key client liaison, gathering requirements, defining specs, presenting solutions, and building trust
• Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
• Partnering with sales and product teams to deliver innovative technical solutions
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships and staying current with new technologies and capabilities
  
  

Required Experience And Skills Include

• 10 years in control systems engineering (industrial, marine, heavy equipment, municipal, or similar)
• 5 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Strong working knowledge of CANBUS communication and industrial automation protocols
• Control system architecture, panel design, wiring, and hardware integration
• Confident communication skills for customer meetings and business discussions
• Balancing technical oversight with project and people management
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high urgency and customer-first focus
