Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain the high-performance C core of a proprietary hardware virtualization stack.
- Conduct deep-dive systems debugging and performance tuning to ensure ultra-low latency execution.
- Lead research and implementation for complex systems challenges including resource oversubscription and state checkpointing.
- Balance the development of customer-facing product enhancements with the rigorous demands of production-level systems programming.
- Collaborate directly with founding leadership to architect scalable infrastructure as the organization grows.
- Expert-level C Proficiency: Exceptional mastery of C with a focus on performance-critical applications.
- Hardware Optimization: Proven experience optimizing GPU or Network Interface Card (NIC) performance.
- Low-Level Systems Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of compilers, low-level networking protocols, and systems architecture.
- High-Stakes Environment: Background in latency-sensitive sectors where performance translates directly to value.
- Ownership Mentality: A self-starter capable of managing production systems and delivering high-quality output at a rapid pace.
- Communication: Ability to relay complex technical concepts and maintain clarity during high-pressure production scenarios.
