We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our private OBGYN clinic with integrated medspa services. This role is essential in supporting providers with daily patient care, maintaining efficient clinic flow, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This position also offers the opportunity to assist with medspa services as the practice grows.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (OBGYN or outpatient setting a plus)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in OBGYN or women’s health
- Familiarity with AthenaOne or similar EHR systems
- Experience with patient intake, vitals, and charting workflows
- Interest or experience in medspa/aesthetic services
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Patient Support
- Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluation
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of supplies
- Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures
- Review and prep charts prior to patient visits (labs, imaging, history)
- Ensure all required documentation is available before appointments
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic day
- Assist with lab coordination and documentation
- Relay normal lab results to patients per established protocols (as directed)
- Route abnormal or complex results to the nursing staff or the provider
- Assist with patient follow-up communication
- Monitor and respond to patient messages within scope and protocol
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Assist with patient intake and preparation for aesthetic treatments
- Support providers during medspa procedures
- Maintain treatment rooms, supplies, and documentation
- Provide patient education on basic skincare and post-treatment instructions (within scope)
- Follow HIPAA and all clinic policies and procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe clinical environments
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation
