Midwife /APRN /Physician's Assistant

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant with solid OBGYN experience and antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum experience that includes patients with varying medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.). The ideal candidate also is someone that possesses a strong team spirit.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness

· Prescribe necessary medications and treatments

· Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients

· Develops and implements patient management policies and procedures

· Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

· Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Basic Qualifications

· Master of Scient Degree with completion of an accredited, NP, PA or CNM program required

· Current State Licensure

· Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing patient care is required

· DEA eligible

Ideal Qualifications

· 2 years’ experience

· Licensure in the state of Connecticut preferred
