Key Responsibilities
● Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of Oberer's Flowers, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across the Production Center and all retail locations.
● Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to drive productivity and ensure that each customer receives exceptional service and support.
● Recruit, hire, train, lead and mentor a dedicated team, including floral designers, store managers, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and ensuring that each store is profitable, well-staffed and operating efficiently.
● Manage budgets, expenses and financial reports for each location.
● Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency and profitability.
● Collaborate with the Board of Directors and other departmental managers to develop and implement strategic plans for the company, providing operational insights and support.
Qualifications and Skills
● At least 5 years of experience in operations management with a proven track record of success in managing multiple locations.
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a motivated team.
● Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
● Strong marketing and sales skills, including experience in developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
● Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
● Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
● Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
● Passion for flowers and a deep understanding of the floral retail industry.
● Proficiency in relevant software applications.
Working Conditions
The Floral Operations Manager will work in the corporate building as well as spending time in each of the floral locations. The job will require some evening and weekend work as well as travel.
