About the Role
Busan Capital is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Government Relations Officer to support our regulatory and public-sector engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for building and managing relationships with government stakeholders, monitoring financial regulatory developments, ensuring compliance, and supporting market expansion strategies.
The ideal candidate brings experience in government relations or regulatory affairs, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to operate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national government agencies
Monitor and analyze financial regulations, public policy developments, and regulatory changes impacting the investment and financial services industry
Serve as the primary liaison between Busan Capital and public-sector stakeholders
Advise executive leadership on policy trends and potential operational impacts
Coordinate and facilitate licensing, approvals, and regulatory compliance processes
Represent the company in government meetings, regulatory discussions, and industry forums (virtual and in-person as required)
Support market entry and expansion initiatives while ensuring full regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Business, or a related field
Proven experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, policy analysis, or public-sector engagement
Strong understanding of financial services regulations and compliance frameworks
Knowledge of South Korean financial policies and regulatory environment is highly preferred
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate across international teams
Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English strongly preferred
