Escape Room Game Guide / Host
OB-Xscape Rooms is looking for energetic, reliable team members to help deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests. Game Guides are responsible for hosting groups, monitoring escape room games, and resetting rooms between bookings to ensure every team has a seamless and exciting experience.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, can stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining high standards for guest experiences.
Reliable transportation is a must and punctuality is a priority, regardless of summer traffic.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and guide them through their escape room experience from start to finish
- Clearly explain game rules and safety instructions to groups before each game
- Monitor escape rooms via camera systems and provide hints when necessary
- Ensure guests have a fun, engaging, and positive experience throughout their visit
- Reset escape rooms between games so they are ready for the next group (attention to detail is very important)
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of rooms and common areas
During slower periods when games are not running, team members are expected to complete side work including:
- Vacuuming and sweeping floors
- Disinfecting escape rooms and surfaces
- Refreshing and cleaning restrooms
- Dusting furniture and props
- Cleaning windows and lobby areas
- Greeting guests or assisting at the front desk or outdoor podium when needed
Job Requirements
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and explaining instructions clearly
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to learn and operate 4–8 different escape rooms during a two-week training period
- Good memory and ability to follow detailed procedures
- Strong attention to detail when resetting rooms
- Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring games
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
Schedule
We are currently hiring for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Availability on nights and weekends is strongly preferred.
Compensation:
This entry-level role offers a starting wage of $15.00/hour with growth opportunities!
