As our Document Control & Training Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing and maintaining accurate, compliant quality documentation across the organization. You'll play a key role in upholding regulatory standards and ensuring effective training across departments.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and oversee document control systems for policies, procedures, specs, and templates
- Own all change management processes from request to completion
- Review documentation for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
- Work with subject matter experts to revise and improve documents
- Ensure controlled distribution, version control, and proper archiving
- Manage the training system and ensure timely delivery during onboarding and document updates
- Lead training sessions to promote awareness of document and change control procedures
- Partner with QA on audits and inspections, addressing non-compliance and recommending fixes
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve document control processes
- Collaborate across departments (QA, Regulatory, Ops) to align documentation and processes
- Handle other duties as assigned
- Experience fostering collaborative and cross-functional success
- Background in document control, preferably in a regulated industry (pharma, medical devices, food manufacturing)
- Strong understanding of QMS, ISO, and FDA standards (21 CFR Part 11 experience preferred)
- Top-notch attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Skilled in reviewing and writing technical documents
- Strong analytical thinker and proactive problem solver
- Proficient with standard office software, databases, and document systems
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive materials with professionalism
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk using a computer
- Frequent walking through warehouse environments
- Exposure to food ingredients and potential allergens
- Work takes place in an air-conditioned warehouse office
- Must meet ADA, FMLA, and related federal/state/local standards for attendance and job performance
- Must be able to lift and move within reasonable limits as required by role
