OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer to support our customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct radar system analyses, investigate customer-reported issues through detailed root‑cause evaluation and resolution, translate complex tactical radar algorithms into simplified real‑time‑capable representations, and prepare documentation for technical presentations to users and project leadership.
- Create analytical tools using MATLAB or Python and mentor junior team members to support consistency, interoperability, and best practices across tool development.
- Work on-site daily at a government customer location as part of a multi‑contractor team, collaborating frequently with industry partners and government personnel.
- Strong background in radar system design, analysis, and operation
- Experience in reverse engineering
- Proficiency in developing software tools
- Ability to operate Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop systems for radar model verification and validation
- Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming, preferably in Java
- Ability to read and interpret ADA code
- Experience using Git for version control
- Capability to maintain, evaluate, and improve existing codebases
- Strong technical writing skills for proposals and instructional documentation
- Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies
