Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Schedule: Part-Time and PRN
Rate
- Part-Time: $38.00-$50.00 per hour
- PRN: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations using appropriate assessment methods.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable short- and long-term goals.
- Assess and treat communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide skilled therapy interventions to improve residents' functional abilities and quality of life.
- Monitor residents' progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Communicate residents' progress, recommendations, and concerns to families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and follow-through programs.
- Complete clinical documentation and charge entries accurately and on time.
- Assist with resident scheduling as needed.
- Maintain therapy equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
- Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Active and current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Minnesota.
- Master's or doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience in geriatrics, assisted living, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
