Duties
- Conduct regular pool inspections to assess water clarity, chemical balance, and equipment functionality
- Perform routine cleaning of pools, including skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, and brushing walls to maintain pristine conditions
- Diagnose and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools
- Manage pool plumbing systems to ensure proper water flow and identify potential leaks or blockages
- Handle water treatment chemicals safely and accurately to maintain optimal chemical levels and ensure swimmer safety
- Maintain detailed service records of inspections, repairs, chemical treatments, and maintenance activities
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures to prepare pools for peak use or winterization
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with pool plumbing systems and water circulation components
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety protocols
- Proficiency in pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, skimming, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment effectively
