The Service Writer is responsible for selling and promoting all products and services offered by
Oasis Outdoors RV by following the dealership standards and expectations.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Customer Intake: Greet customers, listen to RV issues, and accurately document repair/maintenance requests on Work Orders.
- Estimate & Sales: Provide accurate time and cost estimates for repairs, upsell preventative maintenance, and promote dealership products.
- Technician Coordination: Communicate customer needs to the technicians and track the status of jobs to ensure deadlines are met.
- Warranty Administration: Verify warranty coverage, submit claims to manufacturers, and communicate approvals/denials.
- Customer Updates: Keep clients apprised of repair progress, explain technical issues, and handle vehicle walkthroughs at pickup.
Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training or post-secondary education is a plus.
- Experience: 1-2 years in customer service, sales, or service writing in the RV, automotive, or powersports industries.
- Skills: Excellent communication, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with dealership management software and computers.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with RV systems (plumbing, electrical, appliances) and camping lifestyles is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience as a Service Advisor is preferred.
