JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Meat Cutter
Department: Meat Department Reports To: Meat Department Lead
Proposed Schedule: Preferably open availability, can discuss in interview
Requirements:
● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Meat Cutter and/or in a grocery store or similar environment.
● Ability to physically handle meat and machinery for a long period of time, work band saws and other meat cutting equipment.
● Excellent knowledge of meat preparation and cutting techniques.
● ServeSafe Food Handling Certification (preferred)
● Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
● Strong communication and customer service skills
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
● High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
● Ability to work in a cold environment.
Role Responsibilities:
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
● Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure that all meat products are safe for consumption
● Maintain a clean and organized work area, including meat preparation equipment and storage areas
● Cutting, grinding, trimming and preparing meat for sale
● Operating meat-cutting machinery
● Ensure all meat products are properly labeled, priced, and displayed
● Selling to and advising customers on meat products
● Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
● Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
