Flooring Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of flooring surfaces across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to determine flooring layout and installation procedures.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying primers or adhesives as needed for epoxy, vinyl, hardwood, tile, carpet, and other flooring types.
• Install various flooring materials including hardwood, vinyl, tile, epoxy coatings, carpets, and refinishing existing floors with buffing or sanding techniques.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials according to specifications.
• Perform floor refinishing tasks such as sanding, buffing, sealing, and water damage restoration to restore floors to their optimal condition.
• Follow building installation safety protocols consistently to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
• Assist with related construction tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, remodeling projects, and cabinetry work as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flooring installation including hardwood, vinyl, tile laying, epoxy floor application, and carpet installation.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting construction plans or blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with building material installation standards and safety compliance regulations on construction sites.
• Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working in physically demanding environments.
• Experience with floor care techniques including buffing, refinishing, water damage restoration, and surface preparation.
• Knowledge of schematics or technical drawings related to flooring layouts or renovation projects is preferred.
• Construction site experience with a focus on quality craftsmanship in restoration or remodeling projects is highly desirable.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
