Personal Support Specialist / Direct Care Worker (PCA)
Job Summary
Oasis Care Solutions is a licensed Personal Care Agency serving seniors and adults with disabilities across Maine. We are hiring compassionate and dependable caregivers to provide support in home and community settings.

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care to clients (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Assist with household tasks (meal preparation, shopping, laundry, light housekeeping)
- Give medication reminders and follow individualized Service Plans
- Monitor client well-being and promptly report changes in health or behavior
- Engage clients in conversation, social activities, and cognitive stimulation
- Safely use equipment (gait belts, Hoyer lifts, etc.) when needed
- Document services accurately after each shift
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies
Requirements
- Compassion, patience, and reliability
- One of the following:
- Active CNA on the Maine Registry, or Completed Personal Support Specialist (PSS) training, or Willing to start PSS training within 60 days of hire (must finish within 9 months)
- Must pass Maine Background Check Center (MBCC) requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and safely assist clients
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred (mileage reimbursement may apply)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in home care, hospice, or long-term care
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities
- Previous work in caregiving, social services, or nursing support
