Warehouse Associate – Troy, MI

Oakwood Veneer Company is currently hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Troy, Michigan facility.
This is a full-time first-shift warehouse position offering stable weekday hours, competitive pay, strong benefits, and a clean, organized work environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with optional overtime available after training. Our facility is conveniently located near I-75, 15 Mile Road, and Stephenson Highway in Troy, Michigan.
The position offers an effective pay rate of approximately $20.00 per hour, consisting of a $19.00 base hourly wage plus a $40 weekly attendance bonus for employees who complete their full 40-hour scheduled work week on the clock.
In this role, employees are responsible for pulling and preparing customer veneer orders, packaging shipments, loading materials, and assisting with inventory and warehouse operations. Team members can expect to process and prepare up to 30 customer orders per day with moderate order complexity. Training is provided and includes learning wood veneer species, cuts, grades, and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
We are looking for dependable individuals who are self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, communication, and a consistent work ethic are important for success in this role. Employees must be able to safely lift 60–70 lb. boxes approximately 4–5 inches without assistance and be willing to learn additional warehouse equipment and machinery over time.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of Hi-Lo / forklift experience
- Experience loading and unloading semi-trucks with a forklift
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to accurately and efficiently pull customer veneer orders
- Ability to work the Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM first-shift schedule
