Seeking a experienced Automotive Mechanic Technician to join our independent repair shop's growing team. We are looking for a candidate with a background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. Responsibilities
- Inspect clients vehicles to diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using a variety of diagnostic tools and schematics
- Perform maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and alignments
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain parts
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and interpreting schematics for complex repairs
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively
- Mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and automotive electrical systems required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed or completed
- Must have own tools
