POSITION:
We are looking for a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Staffing Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring our residents receive consistent, high-quality care by maintaining appropriate staffing levels across all departments. The Staffing Coordinator must ensure the scheduling process meets the needs of the facility and well as state mandated regulations related to resident aide/resident ratio.

REPORTING:
This position is responsible to the Director of Nursing
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL JOB Functions:
- Create and manage daily and weekly staffing schedules for Resident Aides (care support staff)
- Coordinate call-offs and secure coverage in real time
- Maintain accurate staffing records and ensure compliance with staffing ratios and regulations
- Communicate clearly with leadership regarding staffing needs, gaps, and trends
- Work closely with HR on onboarding, tracking, certifications, and staffing readiness
- Monitor attendance patterns and support accountability process
- Maintain schedules for rotating staff
- Ensure coverage for vacant shifts
- Monitor overtime accumulation and attendance of employees
- Provide after hours and weekend on-call staffing assistance as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing
Qualifications:
Education: High School graduate or better; CNA certification preferred
Work Experience: Experience in long-term care and prior scheduling experience preferred
Language Skills:
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily
understood through verbal communication in the English language
• Bilingual preferred
Mathematical Skills:
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, and volume.
Communication Skills:
• Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills, and be empathetic.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, supervisors, and management
Office Skills:
• Familiar with and proficient in Microsoft Word / Excel for creating daily tracking systems
• Familiar with general office equipment
