What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generator Technician position at Oakwood Electric & Generator?
MUST APPLY IN PERSON: Established residential Generac Generator Dealer in the Western Suburbs looking for service team members to join our team. We are looking for individuals with automotive repair experience or individuals with mechanical minds. Know electric or pipe fitting - that's a plus! This is an entry level position that you will need to prove your skill set, reliability, positive attitude and work ethic to advance in the company. This is the doorway to a career, not just a “job”. We are looking for individuals that excel at communication and customer relations, especially dealing with difficult customers. Potential candidates need to be able to troubleshoot and solve issues independently; to abide by protocols and follow through with minimal direction. Job is an outdoor job that is year-round and requires working in all sorts of weather conditions (snow, cold, rain, heat). Those who apply need to be able to drive a stick shift car. Duties: Performing annual preventative maintenance on Generators. Installing Home Standby Generators (gas and electric), possibility for advancement to this after 1 year of service and proper training. Troubleshoot and repair of Home Standby Generator, after attending Generac’s 3-day school training in Wisconsin
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
