Oakwood Controls is seeking a Director of Sales & Business Development to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen customer relationships within the defense and tactical training industries. This individual will lead business development initiatives, manage the full sales lifecycle, and work closely with leadership, engineering, and operations teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive revenue growth. The Director of Sales & Business Development will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, supporting domestic and international growth efforts, and building long-term partnerships with customers and stakeholders. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, this individual will help shape growth strategy while ensuring alignment between customer needs and Oakwood Controls' innovative solutions. Due to the highly collaborative nature of the organization and the close integration required with leadership, engineering, and operations teams, this is a fully in-person position based in Glen Rock, Pennsylvania.

Director of Sales & Business Development position qualifications:

· A minimum of ten (10) years of B2B or B2G sales or business development experience required; experience in technical, industrial, or engineered product environments preferred

· Demonstrated success in a consultative sales process, including prospecting, pipeline development, and full-cycle sales execution

· Experience working with customers in manufacturing, defense, or related technical industries preferred; familiarity with military environments or veteran status, a plus

· Proficiency with CRM systems and sales support tools required; demonstrated ability to leverage technology to manage and track sales activity

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage customers, present solutions, and negotiate effectively

· Demonstrated community involvement, strongly preferred
