We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. What you’ll do
- Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Maintain detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Support patients with specialized needs including , catheter care, and medication management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
- Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical records and communicate patient status effectively
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) from an accredited program
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing practices
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care
