Monument Sales Representative – Job Summary
Our company is seeking a motivated and professional Monument Sales Representative to help grow relationships within the memorial industry and generate new business opportunities. This position focuses on visiting cemeteries, mortuaries, funeral homes, and related businesses to promote our custom monument, memorial, engraving, and granite services.
The ideal candidate is confident speaking with people face-to-face, organized, self-driven, and comfortable building long-term professional relationships. This role combines outside sales, customer service, and community outreach within a respectful and compassionate industry.
Responsibilities
- Visit cemeteries, mortuaries, funeral homes, and memorial parks to introduce company services and products
- Build and maintain professional relationships with funeral directors, cemetery staff, family service counselors, and office personnel
- Generate leads and secure new monument and memorial sales opportunities
- Present product samples, brochures, engraved displays, and company capabilities
- Follow up on referrals, estimates, and pending projects
- Coordinate with office staff and production teams regarding customer orders and project details
- Attend appointments with families when needed to assist with monument selection and design
- Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, and customer communications
- Represent the company professionally and respectfully at all times
Qualifications
- Sales or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and reliable transportation
- Comfortable with local travel and in-person networking
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in the memorial, funeral, cemetery, stone, or construction industry is a plus but not required
