Attention to detail is key. The production associate is consistent, works with efficiency, and is an independent worker. You’ll be responsible for the preparation and packaging of spices and gift boxes. You’ll work with the production manager, supervisor and leads to maintain effective and efficient production processes. This is a part-time job at 24 hours per week. Key Duties (May include, but are not limited to):Fill and label spice jars and bagsCreate gift boxesFulfill bulk restaurant ordersFulfill wholesale ordersFollow production logs and complete them with accuracyProperly label and organize storage boxesAbility to use a computer and a digital scale with accuracyOperate machinery such as heat sealers and labeling machines.Maintain a clean work station and follow food handling and sanitation requirements in order to maintain cleanliness standards and local, State and Federal agencies regulations and requirementsPick and pack mail orders for shipping and local orders for pickupFollow all opening and closing procedures as neededRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school degree or equivalentExcellent organization and time-management skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentSeeks out feedback and is excited about self-growth and improvement within the context of the jobAbility to work well with others in a team-oriented environment and willingness to take on additional tasks with a positive attitude to help out the teamResourceful problem-solver and strong ability to resolve issues in the momentAbility to carry out instructions provided in written or oral formAbility to use a computer and a digital scale with accuracyBasic mathematical skillsFamiliarity with with units of weight and measurementEmbraces a culture of learning and advocacy; values diversity, equity, and inclusionComply with all safety and sanitation measures designed to ensure safety in the workplace as well as in the community.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Food-related work experience Experience with packing and labeling food items for resalePassion for food and cooking California food handlers certificateAdditional Physical Requirements Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materialsLift up to 50 pounds unassistedMust be able to stand for 8 hours  This is a part-time position.
