Overview: The Content Development Student Worker will serve as on-screen talent and a creative contributor for Oakton College's social media team. This student will appear in short-form vertical videos produced for both organic social media and paid advertising campaigns. In addition to on-camera work, this student will help brainstorm content ideas that reflect the authentic Oakton student experience and contribute to the team's content planning efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a student who is comfortable in front of the camera, passionate about social media, and eager to gain real-world experience in digital marketing and content creation.

Length of Employment: This is a summer assignment with the potential for renewal into the Fall semester based on performance and departmental need.

Hours Available: 15–20 hrs/week
Schedule Flexibility: Schedule is flexible but must be coordinated in advance with the supervisor, as on-camera availability will need to align with planned video shoots and content production days. Some fixed shoot dates will be required. Traveling to the Skokie and Evanston Oakton locations may also be required.

Candidate Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities - KSOAs)
Qualified candidates will have the following competencies and skills:
- Comfort and confidence appearing on camera in a professional or creative context
- Active personal use of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, with an understanding of short-form video trends
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to take creative direction
- Enthusiasm for representing Oakton College authentically and positively
- Ability to collaborate with a team and contribute ideas in a brainstorming environment
- Reliability and professionalism in meeting scheduled shoot times and deadlines
- Preferred: Experience creating personal video content, participating in school media, theater, athletics, or other on-camera activities
- Preferred: Interest in marketing, communications, media, or a related field
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Employment over summer is allowed if a student is enrolled in at least one summer credit course or enrolled for the following fall semester in at least six credit hours.
- GPA of at least 2.0 at the time of hire and be in good academic standing
