Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging STEM lessons aligned with grade-level standards and developmental needs.
- Introduce foundational concepts in science, technology, engineering, and math through interactive activities and projects.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
- Use inquiry-based learning strategies to promote curiosity and experimentation.
- Integrate technology tools appropriately to enhance learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through informal and formal methods, providing feedback to students and families as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to support cross-curricular connections.
- Maintain classroom materials, supplies, and STEM equipment.
- Ensure a safe and organized learning environment at all times.
- Bachelor’s degree, STEM-related field, or a related discipline (teaching credential preferred but not required).
- Experience working with young children (TK–3rd grade) in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of elementary STEM concepts and teaching strategies.
- Ability to design hands-on, engaging, and developmentally appropriate lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for fostering creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners.
- Ability to teach from a Christ-centered Biblical Worldview.
- Teaching credential or certification in elementary education.
- Experience with project-based learning or STEM programs.
- Familiarity with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards).
- Experience integrating technology (e.g., coding basics, educational apps, robotics kits).
- Part-time position (hours/days flexible based on program needs).
