Data in the buyside has gone from a necessary cost for traditional market data, to a custom-made differentiator that’s driving decision making and Alpha. A long-standing fund is doing just that, driven by the senior most people at the firm. They are looking for full-stack data scientists, people who can program who are also data scientist and machine learning focused. This will sit within quantitative strategies where you’ll have the opportunity to leverage machine learning and advanced statistical methods to produce the new actionable insights.
Things you have already to done:
-Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative discipline. (MS or PhD) is compelling
-Python is a must. Other languages such as R or C , Spark are helpful
-Experience optimization time series
-Machine Learning and Statistics on large, unstructured, data sets
Salary : $200,000 - $400,000
