Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential and property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of property management principles, and the ability to foster positive relationships with tenants and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to property maintenance, leasing, and compliance with relevant regulations with LIHTC experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, tenant relations, and property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for efficient data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a timely manner using effective conflict management techniques.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality service at competitive rates.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote available units and upsell services to current tenants.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, leases, and maintenance requests using CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Section 8 housing programs is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
- Proficient in administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and office experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle contracts effectively.
- Knowledge of facilities management principles is desirable.
