Maintenance Technician Assistant
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
Location: Oakmont Gardens – Santa Rosa, CA

As our Maintenance Technician Assistant , you'll support daily operations by helping to keep our senior living community clean, safe, and functional. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, hands-on, and eager to learn more about building and equipment maintenance in a supportive and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic building maintenance and repairs (e.g., lighting, plumbing, furniture assembly).
- Support preventative maintenance tasks and safety inspections.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and respectful manner.
- Help maintain common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Help track and manage inventory of tools and supplies.
- Communicate with the Maintenance Director about issues and work progress.
- Support emergency maintenance or safety response as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and maintenance practices.
- Prior maintenance or custodial experience a plus, but not required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful attitude.
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass background check and meet health requirements for working in a senior care environment.
