Job Purpose
The Educational Technology Academic Coach is responsible for supporting the effective integration of educational technology across assigned schools. This role partners with educators, administrators, and technology staff to enhance instructional practices, improve student outcomes, and ensure the strategic, responsible, and efficient use of technology tools and systems. This position provides coaching, professional development, systems management guidance, and data-informed recommendations aligned with organizational and curricular goals.
Duties And Responsibilities
Technology Integration
Necessary and desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. May work with challenging students at times. Work is performed in school and office environments. Regular travel between school sites may be required. Occasional evening or extended hours may be required for professional development sessions or organizational needs.
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 25 pounds); and significant fine finger dexterity. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, operate standard office equipment and technology devices, and move between classrooms, offices, and school facilities required.

Duties And Responsibilities
Technology Integration
- Collaborates with educators to identify and implement opportunities for integrating technology into curriculum and instructional practices.
- Supports schools in integrating multiple digital tools and systems to develop efficient and strategically aligned technology ecosystems at the school level.
- Works with appointed school-based technology leaders to ensure effective system management and implementation.
- Designs and delivers professional development sessions to support effective use of educational technology tools and resources.
- Provides ongoing coaching and guidance to school-based staff on best practices for technology integration.
- Evaluates, recommends, and supports implementation of educational technology tools, platforms, and resources aligned with instructional goals.
- Assists the academic team in managing and optimizing system settings, including Google Workspace tools, to maximize accessibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Provides ongoing support to educators and students in the use of educational technology tools.
- Troubleshoots technical and system issues and coordinates resolution as appropriate.
- Collects and analyzes data related to technology usage and effectiveness.
- Provides recommendations based on findings to support informed decision-making and improved instructional outcomes.
- Collaborates with curriculum developers and instructional leaders to ensure technology tools align with curriculum standards and instructional objectives.
- Develops, communicates, and supports implementation of technology policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Promotes safe, responsible, ethical, and compliant use of technology resources, including artificial intelligence tools.
- Facilitates collaboration among educators, administrators, and technology personnel to promote consistent and effective technology implementation across the organization.
- Stays informed regarding emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.
- Identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within instructional technology practices.

- Education Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in Educational Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in education, instructional technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supporting technology integration in instructional settings.
- Experience analyzing data to evaluate instructional or technology effectiveness preferred.
