What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Relations & Events Coordinator position at Oaklin Lane?
Be the face we show the neighborhood.
Oaklin Lane is hiring a Community Relations & Events Coordinator to carry our referral and community partnerships across DFW — the person who keeps every relationship warm and puts Oaklin Lane in the rooms where families already are. This role reports to our Brand Manager.
On our Lane, you’re the one who shows up
Every year, millions of children need speech, occupational, or physical therapy to reach their full potential — and most families find us because somebody they already trusted pointed them our way. Today our Brand Manager carries those relationships alongside everything else brand and marketing. This seat takes them over. You’ll be on the road most days across the metroplex — pediatrician offices, specialty clinics, schools, early intervention teams, case managers, and community organizations — and you’ll build our events and volunteer program from the ground up. Start in DFW. As we grow, this role grows with us: statewide first, then into new states.
About Oaklin Lane
Oaklin Lane is your neighborhood pediatric therapy clinic — a growing network of purpose-built clinics providing compassionate, expert care to kids from infancy through adolescence. We believe in evidence-backed therapy where hard work feels like play, and progress happens on each kid’s own terms.
What you’ll do
Own the DFW referral and community partner map — who’s warm, who needs a visit, and what each partner needs from us
Take over the referral relationships our Brand Manager carries today, and get out on the road daily — pediatrician offices, specialty clinics, schools, early intervention teams, and case managers
Hold a consistent visit cadence and partner coverage across the metroplex, and report on it weekly
Source, book, and run tabling and community events — school nights, health fairs, library programs, festivals, sports leagues, and neighborhood gatherings
Stand up our volunteer program from scratch — pick the causes that fit who we are, build the cadence, and get our team out into the neighborhoods we serve
Recruit and schedule Oaklin Lane clinicians to staff events, coordinating across clinic schedules so no one’s caseload takes the hit
Own the event budget — spend per event, tracked against plan, approved through the Brand Manager
Keep the table kit ready — branded materials, giveaways, signage, and displays ordered, stocked, stored, and restocked
Manage the event calendar and every deadline attached to it — applications, vendor fees, insurance certificates, permits, load-in times, and booth assignments
Run post-event reporting — contacts made, families reached, cost per event, and an honest read on what’s worth doing again
Partner daily with the Brand Manager on messaging and materials so every event looks and sounds like Oaklin Lane
Keep clinic teams in the loop — what’s coming, who’s needed, what to expect
Build the playbook that travels — the systems you build in DFW are what we’ll run in every market we enter next
Why this role at Oaklin Lane
A space built for the work. Our clinics are purpose-built from the ground up for pediatric therapy. Designed for how kids actually move, play, and learn.
A team that shows up for each other. We celebrate progress, support each other, and create a place people genuinely want to be. That’s how culture works on our lane.
A pathway to grow. We invest in our clinicians — continued education, mentorship, and real opportunities to deepen your expertise. When you grow, our kids do too.
Work that carries beyond the clinic. Oaklin Lane is expanding access to pediatric therapy across a growing network of neighborhood clinics. You’ll start with DFW, but the partner map, the event playbook, and the volunteer program you build here are what we take statewide — and eventually into new states. Build it well, and the bigger version of this role is yours.
Who you are
You are:
Genuinely warm — people remember meeting you, and they’re glad when you come back
Relentlessly organized — event dates don’t move, and you’ve never let one catch you unprepared
Comfortable being the new face in the room, walking into a pediatrician’s office and leaving with a real relationship
Someone who tracks commitments and closes loops across a dozen partners, clinics, and vendors at once without dropping one
Calm when something goes sideways an hour before doors open
Energized by being out on the road, not behind a desk
A builder — you’d rather stand a program up than inherit one
You bring:
4 years in community relations, events, outreach, or field marketing
Healthcare, pediatric, or multi-site services experience (preferred) — existing pediatrician office, school, early intervention, or case management relationships a strong plus
A track record of events you owned end to end — sourced, booked, staffed, ran, and reported on
Proven ability to manage many time-sensitive deadlines and stakeholders at once
Experience owning a budget and reporting on spend
Strong written and verbal communication — equally comfortable with a physician, a school principal, a clinician, and a family
Reliable transportation, a valid Texas driver’s license, and a clean driving record — daily travel across DFW is the job
Deep familiarity with the DFW metroplex and its communities
Working knowledge of Google Workspace; comfort with spreadsheets and a shared calendar
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience
