Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

OakLeaf Clinics – Eau Claire Medical Clinic has an exciting opportunity to join our expanding RN triage support team as a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) with our Eau Claire clinic located at 3802 Oakwood Mall Drive Eau Claire, WI 54701.

OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, nurses and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.

Position description

Duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, completing medication reconciliation, administering medications including injections, scheduling appointments, completing required prior authorization paperwork, assisting providers with their day-to-day clinical practice, and completing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

· Assess patient’s needs to make appropriate and independent / collaborative decisions for selecting specific triage plan

· Use departmental evidence-based protocols to triage patients

· Instruct patients on their health care

· Document all interactions with patients and providers when medical direction is given

· Coordinate services with other departments for follow-up based on patient’s need

· Communicate problems, concerns, and suggestions to Lead Nurses or Clinic Manager

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skill in professional and clinical areas

· Provide professional nursing care under supervision or scope of licensure for clinic patients

· Facilitate/perform the gathering of patient information and document accordingly

· Schedule follow-up appointments

· Instruct patients and families by phone as directed within scope of licensure or certification

· Screen patients for appropriate information

· Maintains timely flow of patients and complete forms as needed

· Assist with office procedures as directed

· Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations

· Maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications

· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

· Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes

· Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to complete documentation for medical record purposes

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

· Detail oriented and accurate

· Passionate about providing patient-focused care

· Ability to multitask with attention to detail

· Prior Epic experience preferred

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Major activities of this job include frequent walking, standing, and light physical effort performed on a level surface. Some carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and squatting are involved in the medical office. Use a computer and telephone and employ writing and organizational skills. Manual dexterity, mobility and good vision that includes near acuity, depth perception and accommodation are physical requirements necessary for technical work.

Full-time, 40 hours/week

Schedule: 8:30AM to 5:00PM

Starting Rate: $32.50

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.50 per hour
