What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper I - 2nd shift full-time 3pm to 11:30pm position at Oaklawn Hospital?
Job Summary: Maintains a clean and safe environment for all patients, staff and visitors.
Essential Functions:
- Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Sweeps& mops/scrubs, hard surface floors.
- Vacuums carpeted floor surfaces.
- Cleans & disinfects patient & exam rooms & makes up patient beds with clean linens.
- Cleans & disinfects staff work areas, offices, and hallway corridors.
- Dusts horizontal surfaces and wall and ceiling vents as required.
- Stocks dispensers with paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap, & hand sanitizer as required.
- Removes trash, soiled linen, & regulated waste and transports to appropriate area.
- Stocks clean linen as required.
Minimum Qualifications: 18 Years of age.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: One (1) year of related experience preferred. Good communication, teamwork skills preferred.
Working Conditions: Potentially exposed to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Constantly stand, walk, reach, push/pull. Frequently handle/grasp/feel, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 25 to 49 lbs. Occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs.
