What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Aide - Oaklawn Life Improvement Center position at Oaklawn Hospital?
Job Summary: Assists members, guests, and visitors of the club.
Essential Functions:
- Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
- Provides customer service to members and guests.
- Processes point of sale purchases, as needed.
- Conducts opening and closing duties.
- Manages the cash register.
- Assists in membership sales and guest tours.
- Assists in ensuring that the fitness area, equipment, and locker rooms are clean, well maintained, and safe.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: High school diploma preferred. Possess knowledge of fitness and aquatic equipment and emergency procedures. Skilled in interpersonal relationships, assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands and possess the ability to operate a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications.
Working Conditions: Occasionally may be exposed to infectious diseases.
Physical Requirements: Constantly see/visual acuity, handle/grasp/feel, talk/hear, lift/carry 1 to 25 lbs. Frequently stand, sit, walk, reach, push/pull, bend/twist, stoop/kneel/crouch, lift/carry 25 to 49 lbs. Occasionally lift/carry 50 lbs.
