Oakland Vision is currently seeking an energetic, outgoing, customer service-oriented optician who is passionate about style and exceptional patient care. We are driven to provide the best vision and ocular health care to Waterford and the surrounding communities. Our practice is well-established and multifaceted - providing high-end optical products, custom contact lenses, and medical eye care.
As an Optician at Oakland Vision, you will work as an integral part of our patient heath care team, enhancing our customer experience and supporting patients and the doctors.

Candidate Must:
- Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Be proficient with software.
- Be comfortable with computerized technology.
- Be a self-starter.
- Possess excellent phone/communication skills.
- Be detail oriented.
- Have the desire to grow a business.
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years optometric or ophthalmologic experience.
Optician tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- optical sales, pricing, ordering, and dispensing
- spectacle adjustments and repairs
- patient check-in and paperwork management
- phone answering/calling and appointment scheduling
- scanning of documents
- acquiring insurance authorizations
- patient exam pre-testing
- contact lens trainings and ordering
- electronic health records experience - REVOLUTION EHR preferred but not required
- payment collections and billing management
- general office, optical and exam room cleaning
- general office promotion
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
