Job Summary
Oakland School for the Arts seeks a dedicated and student-centered Education Specialist to join our Special Education team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a certificated, 186-day position aligned with the academic calendar. The Education Specialist provides instruction, assessment, and case management for students with mild to moderate disabilities, including specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairments, other health impairments, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbances. This role supports students through a full-inclusion model, providing both push-in support within general education classrooms and pull-out specialized academic instruction. The Education Specialist collaborates closely with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure equitable access to curriculum and meaningful participation in all academic and arts programs.
