Job Summary
This position provides assistance to the Servers and delivering premium service to members and their guests, abiding by the service standards of the Club. The staff will be expected to have an excellent understanding of outdoor and poolside service. The Server Assistant will also be expected to go above and beyond to deliver memorable events, while bringing a high level of energy and professionalism. This role may serve as a pathway to server or supervisory positions within the Food & Beverage department.
Education and/or Experience
- Two years of comparable wait service experience preferred.
- 18 years or older.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills required.

Job Tasks/Duties
- Table maintenance (setting and clearing).
- Set up/ tear down furniture when necessary.
- Coordinates with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
- Complete assigned side work in allocated timeframe.
- Follow food safety & sanitary guidelines issued by the Health Department.
- Keeps work area clean and neat, stock inventory.
- Promotes an attitude of teamwork by assisting coworkers.
- Works as directed to support the mission and values of Oakland Hills Country Club.
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Physical Requirement and Work Environment
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
