Medical Records and Central Supply Clerk

We are hiring a Medical Records/Central Supply Clerk to join our dynamic care team at Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket!

Weekly pay ranging from $23 to $25 an hour. Monday-Friday schedule.

In this role, you are responsible for the ordering of nursing/medical supplies in accordance with the facility budget and resident/patient needs.
Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

• Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical. On-the-job training provided in scheduling and medical terminology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate levels of nursing supplies are available for staff.

• Collaborate with staff on the purchasing of needed supplies.

• Seek to meet all staff/patient/resident supply needs within the scope of budgetary parameters.

• Stock supplies.

• Compare bills against packing slips to make sure that charges are correct.

• Other duties assigned by the managerial team.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.

• Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.

• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.

• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

• Be able to follow written and oral instructions.

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

• Is proficient in composition of written communication.
