What are the responsibilities and job description for the JV Head Volley Ball Coach position at Oakland Christian School?
Oakland Christian School is seeking a passionate, organized, and Christ-centered individual to serve as the Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball Head Coach. The JV Head Coach will work closely with the Varsity Head Coach and Athletic Department to develop student-athletes both on and off the court while helping build a strong and unified volleyball program.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead all JV volleyball practices, matches, and team activities
Teach volleyball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game strategy
Support the mission and values of Oakland Christian School through coaching and mentorship
Assist in developing players for advancement within the volleyball program
Maintain positive communication with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration
Monitor athlete conduct, academic progress, and eligibility requirements
Collaborate with the Varsity coaching staff on program philosophy and development
Assist with program needs including equipment, uniforms, and team supervision
Ensure a safe and positive environment for all student-athletes
Qualifications
Previous volleyball coaching and/or playing experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to mentor and positively influence high school student-athletes
Commitment to Christian values and the mission of Oakland Christian School
Must meet all MHSAA and school coaching requirements prior to employment

Fall Sports Season (August–October)
Salary : $2,000 - $3,000
