Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using modern dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold healthcare infection control standards.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Familiarity with dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines and other diagnostic tools
- Experience working with pediatric dentistry is a plus, demonstrating comfort with pediatric patients and their unique needs.
- Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care documentation review.
