We’re seeking a hands-on leader to elevate our FSQA systems, mentor people, and drive certification and regulatory excellence.Your missionOwn the programs that keep our products safe, compliant, and reliable. You will lead SQF certification efforts; meet FDA and DATCP requirements; and ensure alignment with customer and certification expectations including USDA Organic, OU Kosher, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Rainforest Alliance.Reporting line: Director of OperationsTeams you’ll lead: 8 Quality professionals; oversight of a 21-person Sanitation teamWhat success looks likeA living Food Safety Plan (HACCP/Preventive Controls) with rigorous hazard analysis, CCP/CP monitoring, verification, and continuous improvement.Predictive control of allergens, environmental monitoring (EMP), sanitation verification, and a disciplined positive release process.Flawless readiness for internal/external audits and inspections; you are the trusted quality voice for customers and certifiers.Closed-loop CAPA and root-cause problem solving with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain.Engaged training on GMPs, allergens, and food defense that shows up in everyday behaviors on the floor.Transparent metrics—complaints, audit results, and swab trends—regularly reviewed with senior leadership.What you bringBachelor’s in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field; or equivalent experience.8 years in FSQA with 5 years leading people in manufacturing environments.Proven audit management and response capability.HACCP certification, PCQI, and SQF practitioner experience strongly preferred.Deep knowledge of SQF/GFSI, FDA 21 CFR, allergen controls, and EMP best practices.Data-savvy, decisive, and an effective communicator/trainer; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Visible, hands-on leadership and flexibility to support off-shift training, investigations, and audits.Where you’ll workPrimarily on-site with a daytime schedule and flexibility for off-shift support as needed.
