Forklift Operator / Yard Dog Operator

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator / Yard Dog Operator to join our dynamic team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and material handling systems. If you have a passion for logistics and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you! We require you to have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of material handling systems.
• Able to safely move around trailers with a Yard Dog on our property.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid forklift license and certification.
• Valid drivers license.
• Proven experience in operating forklifts and material handling systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed.
