We currently have a part-time opening (Approx. 30hrs/week) for an Aftercare Teacher at OakHaven Montessori School (located in Dardenne Prairie, MO). We are looking for a warm and responsible individual who loves working with children and is experienced in implementing an aftercare program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as an After Care Teacher.
- Supervise and guide the children in the classroom, during recess, and aftercare.
- Build positive, trust-based relationships with the children, the parents, and the OakHaven staff.
- Serve as a leader and role model for the children at all times.
- Help maintain and keep the school, classroom, and materials beautiful.
- Close the school and carry out all end of day responsibilities.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Must be self-driven, responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Loves to be around young children, interact respectfully with them, and have fun together.
- Creative, enthusiastic, & flexible to work in all areas of the school.
- Interested in learning about (or currently has knowledge of) child development and Montessori education.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and prepared, yet able to be flexible at the moment and respond to urgent needs.
- Able to multi-task and work both independently and interdependently.
- Works well in a professional environment and presents oneself professionally.
- Effective communication skills with children and adults.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with children preferred, but not necessary - depending on skill-set.
- Clear background check.
- Verifiable references.
- Able to easily and frequently get up and down from the floor.
SCHEDULE:
- 11:30-5:30 Monday - Friday
COMPENSATION:
- $17 per hour depending on qualifications paid monthly

- 30 hours
