What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Lifter/Egg Packer position at Oakdell Egg Farms?
Job Summary:
Join our egg-cellent team as a Packer! Your main mission? Safely palletize our eggs for transport to the Breaking Plant, ensuring they're ready to roll. If you're detail-oriented, love working with your hands, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment, this is the role for you!
What You'll Be Doing (Egg-citing Job Functions):
Packing:
1. Palletize egg flats like a pro.
2. Inspect eggs and remove the cracked ones—no yolks about it!
3. Stack up egg flats and arrange them on pallets.
4. Use a pallet jack to move full pallets from the lift and replace with new ones.
You'll also be in charge of keeping your workspace spotless before the day ends, which includes:
1. Keeping the packer floor area clean and tidy.
2. Wiping down machines and conveyors to keep them in tip-top shape.
3. Emptying shell collection trays (because eggshells belong in trays, not on the floor!).
Team Spirit:
At Oakdell, we're all about teamwork! Everyone lends a hand, and we cross-train to rotate between roles. So, you'll always have a chance to learn something new and help your fellow packers out.
And, of course, following USDA regulations, Oakdell Egg Farm's Good Manufacturing Practices, and our Food Defense Program is a must. Safety and quality come first!

3. Must be able to bend and lift and twist on different surfaces, including concrete.
4. Need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Compensation: 17.50
