Home Buying Specialist – Real Estate Investment Sales

About The Role:

We’re seeking the best of the best. This role is for someone who knows how to connect with people, build trust quickly, follow up consistently, and confidently move conversations toward signed contracts.

As a Home Buying Specialist, you will spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with property owners, walking homes, and helping guide prospective sellers through the home selling process. This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who enjoys helping people, is competitive and motivated to hit goals, and can work independently with strong time management skills.

You will be the face of Oak Valley in your designated region, playing a direct role in the company’s growth and success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Seller Appointments & Relationship Building

  • Meet Face-to-Face with property owners throughout Kern County and surrounding markets.
  • Build and manage your sales pipeline by meeting and developing relationships with prospective sellers to identify their needs, timeline, and motivation to sell.
  • Guide Homeowners through Oak Valley’s buying process in a professional and solution-oriented way.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and communication throughout the sales process.

Lead Follow Up & Pipeline Management

  • Persistently prospect, qualify, and follow up with prospective sellers.
  • Manage your sales pipeline by maintaining consistent communication with prospective sellers.
  • Make timely follow-up calls, send text messages and emails, and keep conversations moving forward.
  • Notate all lead activities, appointment outcomes, and next steps accurately inside the CRM.

Property Evaluation & Sales Execution

  • Walk distressed properties and gather the information needed to evaluate opportunities.
  • Communicate seller motivation, property condition, and deal potential to internal decision-makers in our back office.
  • Negotiate with sellers and work toward securing signed purchase agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with the acquisitions, operations, and leadership teams to move deals forward.

Territory & Field Activity

  • Regularly travel through Kern County and surrounding cities to prospect prospective sellers.
  • Manage your daily schedule efficiently to maximize appointments, follow-up, and territory coverage.
  • Represent Oak Valley Homebuyers professionally in the field and in the community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with proven success in sales, customer service, or client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency with CRM Systems and mobile communication tools.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Spanish Speaking (Preferred, but not required)

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to regularly work evenings and weekends. This is a sales role, we have to be available when our clients are available. (Weekdays, Weekends, Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings)
  • Must be comfortable working in the field and driving throughout the assigned territory.
  • A real estate license is NOT required.

Pay: $78,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
