Firearms Instructor / Sales Associate
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
We are seeking an experienced, professional Firearms Instructor to join our team in a blended instruction and retail sales role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, working with customers, and helping both new and experienced shooters build their knowledge, confidence, and safe firearm-handling skills.
Compensation
Base Pay: $15–$16 per hour, based on experience
In addition to hourly compensation, this position offers:
- Course Cost Share – Additional compensation based on courses instructed
- Sales Commission – Earn commission on qualifying products sold
- Opportunity to increase overall earnings by developing and growing successful training courses
Position Responsibilities
The Firearms Instructor / Sales Associate will divide their time between conducting training courses and assisting customers in a retail environment.
Instruction responsibilities include conducting professional firearm safety and training courses, providing clear and effective instruction to students of varying experience levels, maintaining a safe and controlled training environment, assisting with course development and scheduling, and representing the business professionally in all interactions.
Sales responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable and responsible product information, completing day-to-day retail duties, maintaining an organized sales environment, and helping create an excellent customer experience.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with previous firearms instruction experience and strong knowledge of firearm safety and responsible handling practices. Applicants should have excellent communication and customer-service skills, be comfortable speaking and teaching in front of groups, and have the ability to work effectively in both instructional and retail environments.
Relevant instructor certifications and previous retail or sales experience are strongly preferred.
Candidates must be dependable, professional, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with customers ranging from first-time students to experienced shooters.
Schedule
We are currently considering both full-time and part-time candidates.
Weekend availability is required. Candidates should also have some scheduling flexibility for courses, special events, and peak retail periods.
