Duties
- Assist with site preparation, including heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing
- Support rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete pumping activities to reinforce structures
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications and assist tradespeople accordingly
- Perform masonry work, tile laying, stucco application, and plastering to enhance building aesthetics and durability
- Conduct demolition, renovation, or restoration tasks while maintaining safety protocols on-site
- Support heavy equipment operation and commercial driving duties as needed for material transport and site logistics
Requirements
- Prior construction site experience or related hands-on training in construction activities
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings accurately
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing demanding tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to roofing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, flooring installation, and other trades
- Excellent communication skills for teamwork and understanding project schematics
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving certification preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn new skills such as welding or concrete finishing techniques
